Pakistan’s Ambassador to Turkey Sohail Mahmood called on President of Religious Affairs of Turkey Prof. Dr. Mehmet Gormez in Ankara.

During the meeting, the special nature of Pakistan-Turkey relations was emphasized. It was noted that bilateral cooperation was flourishing in the political, economic, investment, defence, education and cultural spheres.

As part of enhanced people-to-people interaction, the importance of closer collaboration between the Directorate of Religious Affairs and counterpart in Pakistan was stressed. It was agreed to promote high-level exchanges and promote mutual cooperation by fostering links between the relevant institutions.
