FonePay and MyDoctor.pk partner to create world class digital healthcare services

In a move that is set to disrupt the Healthcare segment in Pakistan, FonePay, Pakistan’s first payments Super App powered by Masterpass, has partnered with MyDoctor.pk; a health-tech platform catering to all consumer needs across a typical patient life-cycle. The announcement was made at a signing ceremony held in Lahore today.

As part of this exclusive strategic partnership, all FonePay Super App customers will now get access to quality healthcare services under one roof, leveraging MyDoctor’s platform. Consumers will now be able search from a database of more than 14,000 PMDC verified doctors, consequently booking and paying for online appointments. In addition, customers get access to other services such as medicine home delivery, home lab tests, free tele-consultations, options to maintain all their medical history in one place, and soon to start video-conferencing appointments with doctors.

Speaking on the occasion, Inov8 Limited’s Co-Founder and Co-CEO, Hasnain Sheikh stated, “Healthcare is a very important vertical for us and ties in with FonePay’s vision of becoming your essential app for everyday life.  We are excited to partner with the MyDoctor.pk platform, given its unique value proposition for health seekers and providers. We intend to grow together strategically by offering premium healthcare services via the FonePay ecosystem.

MyDoctor.pk also offers a Hospital & Clinic management solution that helps healthcare professionals automate their practices & make it more efficient and convenient for patients to interact with Doctors. The two sides are in discussion with a broad scope of Hospitals, Pharmacies & Diagnostics nationwide for integration within their eco-system.

Sharing his thoughts at the signing ceremony, Co-Founder & CEO of MediConnect Services, Abid Zuberi said: “MyDoctor is on a mission to make healthcare simpler, accessible and more convenient for the masses. We want to provide quality healthcare services to patients across Pakistan and solve core problems. Partnering with FonePay’s Super App platform will not only enable us drive access to a vast consumer base but also help in digitizing payments in the largely untapped healthcare segment’.
