ISLAMABAD; 25th March 2016: National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) signed a contract for “Establishment of Cloud based Data Centre” on 25th March, 2016.  This Data Centre will be highly technical and equipped with the latest IT features.  It will enable government entities to offer variety of services in the field of data communication, which are presently being offered by the private service providers.Press

While speaking on the occasion, Brig (R) Viqar Rashid Khan, Chairman, NTC, expressed that NTC being the only Telecom and IT organization of the Federal Government, is providing ICT Services to the functionaries of Government of Pakistan and has always played a proactive leading role.  He elaborated that NTC is making all out efforts to facilitate its valuable customers with quality ICT Services and keeping itself abreast with the latest market trends.  He further highlighted that provision of reliable and secure data communication to the government is of utmost importance and need of the hour especially under potential cyber threat.  The Security situation within Pakistan and its around demands for highly protected and secured data centre. This Data Centre is the foundation of that need of security and making e-governance a reality.  Engr. Miraj Gul, DG (Technical) NTC explained the salient features of newly planned Data Centre and reiterated that In Shaa Allah the project would be completed in time with professional excellence.
