SEED Ventures invests in AEROSYNC

Lahore May 24, 2016: SEED Ventures recently invested in another startup – AeroSync, and is working to launch a series of innovative entrepreneurial products for grass root entrepreneurs (GREs). These products will provide sustainable income opportunities to small start-ups, and will help resolve their livelihood and economic challenges. The first product will be launched end May, 2016.

The primary target market for the upcoming product is street vendors. This product will bring innovation to their current method of business operations and will also help create avenues that lead to financial inclusion of underserved populations by easing their access to micro financing and micro credit that will eventually help them scale up their existing setups. Extensive research went into the development of these products so they are able to specifically address the business needs of the GRE population.Talking about this investment, Faraz Khan, SEED CEO and Co-founder said, “Enterprise Development is SEED’s core mandate, and we have been aggressively following this mandate through entrepreneurial education and training, but the buck does not stop there. It is important to have tangible products for the masses and specifically the GREs that would effectively lead to enterprise creation and growth in their segment. AeroSync’s addition to our portfolio is a significant step in that direction. Through this investment, together we will design tangible, demand-driven products that have the potential to resolve the economic challenges of grass-root entrepreneurs and bring about an immensely noticeable change in the country’s economy along with environmental upgrading.”Neelam Hasan, Co-founder AeroSync said, “Currently we are testing our prototype on ground and are delighted with the results. We are very excited about launching our first GRE product in May, and are waiting to see how the market responds to it. We hope that this product will bring diverse selling opportunities to street vendors, and help empower them at a financial and social level. We believe that through this state-of-the-art technology, the street retail segment will be reinvented.”AeroSync is an industrial design company that develops products designed to provide innovative solutions that ease and improve the business operations of grass root entrepreneurs. SEED Ventures is a social, entrepreneurship and equity development organisation. Its core mandate is to provide solutions to social challenges, using entrepreneurship as a vehicle to create wealth and deliver positive social impact.
